Patrick Dai, Founder & CEO of Qtum,the first Proof-of-Stake smart contract platform. With Patrick's leadership Qtum is able to combine the advantages of Bitcoin’s Unspent Transaction Output (UTXO) model with an Account Abstraction Layer allowing for multiple virtual machines. Qtum is a combination of multiple innovations within the blockchain: proof-of-stake, the ethereum virtual machine, and the UTXO model. The company wants to make smart contracts easier to write and safer, which is why Patrick's team is developing the QTUM 86 (x86 VM), which will be critical for widespread adoption of several applications - notably financial. The Qtum Foundation, headquartered in Singapore, is the decision-making body that drives the project's development.
